I know, but I have seen a couple of players on Amazon or Newegg, that did include built in Wifi for around the $70-80 mark. They were pretty basic though, netflix but not much else.

The ones that don't have wifi built in are a little cheeky because they usually only work with certain wifi dongles, which often cost as much as the player, Sony I'm looking at you

Check out Hulu for lots of free streaming. I watched the Doogie Houser pilot episode the other day for some nostalgia. Most of it has short commercial interruptions.
I signed up with Hulu earlier but couldn't view Dexter. All it did was direct me to Showtime's website.

Another series I want to watch is The Wire...again couldn't find it on Hulu and Netflix isn't streaming it.

I watched the first 3 episodes of Dexter last night...so annoying to have to wait until next week to see 3 more.

I'll never give up getting the discs, as there are some movies that I want to watch the extras on. I don't think you can get that through streaming unless theres an actual extra disc of extras.

And we can't give them up yet as we can't afford a machine to stream them through....but soon hopefully!!!

Mr J and I have seperate queues so that I don't get suggestions for anime or crazy Japanese films, and he doesn't get suggestions for old Hollywood musicals

That's a great idea. I've been blaming my son when "questionable" titles appear in the queue but I think Wife is catching on. This last time he swore up and down he hadn't put "Cougar Club" on the list and I had to tell her it must be kind of glitch within Netflix.

Should be an interesting conversation when your wife next logs in and it asks her to rate it.

I was streaming using the XBOX 360 but have just upgraded () to a PS3. The Netflix interface is sooo much better. Mrs Ski and I watched some Nova show about dogs last night then I got to watch some crappy documentary about the making of the Dr Who and Dalek movies from the mid-60s and then I waatched an interesting doc called I Am Comic about being a stand-up comedian.

My only beef is the choice of things they have for streaming versus actual rental disc. I watched all of the Doctor Who "Ark In Space" on watch instantly, then went to stream the next story which followed on from that and they don't have it on streaming, but they do have the story that follows on from that! Weird.

One thing I've been watching recently also was the first season of Soap. Forgot everything about that show, but I guess I must have seen it at a age when my brain was like a sponge as I was anticipating some of the lines before they were said like it was Monty Python or something...

I was up to 5 discs at a time before streaming, but now down to one. The company's fantastic, the service is great, and I've never had a problem sending something back and getting a replacement for a scratched disc or wrong movie. Blockbuster lost my business after about 2 weeks with Netflix. Haven't stepped foot in one of those since!

Since we started streaming Netflix it seems that my husband finds the most obscure and weird movies that were ever made. It's become an obsession with him

One we did watch the other day that I would recommend is Mary and Max. It's a claymation movie and really very good

I slipped The Draughtsman's Contract into our Netflix queue. Looking forward to seeing what my Mrs makes of that.

I could watch Greenaway movies all day, just for Nymans music.

The early ones anyway. Me and Mrs Ski watched The Pillow Book once because I told the wife you get to see Ewan McGregor's cock. Well, you do, but the rest of the film was an incredibly long turgid lump, too.

One day I'll get her to watch The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, but it'll be difficult trying to sell it to her after that last one.
