Default What to expect next?

All of my application was submitted just over a week ago to London and I have realised today that the money has been taken already. Does anyone know what I can expect next?(i.e how long it usually takes to get a case officer? etc)

Dont worry I'm not asking how long its going to take to process because I understand from living on this forum for the past 6 months that its a very silly question.

Thanks to all who helped me through the mountain of paperwork!

Cool Re: Spouse Visa Circle

I got my Visa!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mr Cro, I hope things are going well with yours.

I got an email this morning saying Visa subclass 309 has been granted. I am so happy, it is all really happening and now I can start doing stuff.

Timeline was

April 4th 2010 Apllication for prospective marriage visa sent
April 6th 2010 CO assigned
May 18th 2010 New CO assigned due to previous CO leaving job. Advised 3-4 months processing time from application date.
June 19th 2010 Married my fiance
June 25th 2010 Visa application changed to Spouse visa instead of Prospective marriage.
August 18th Advised Police checks needed for husband.
September 3rd 2010 Police checks sent to DIAC
September 6th 2010 VISA GRANTED.

It has taken 5 months, not including the hard work getting everything in place before applying. I am so happy and now it fells real and things can progress.

Cool Re: Spouse Visa Circle

As soon as my visa was granted, I hopped on here to update everyone. My husband complained that we hadn't even told family yet. I replied that he really didn't understand how important it is for people to see that things are still moving with DIAC and for people to maybe get some idea of timetables for their visa. He just doesn't get it. lol

Mega for everyone else.

That is soooo true ! Even though I know it doesn't guarantee anything, it just feels like we're moving along now that you've been granted .. surely we're getting nearer the top of the queue!! And then thinking well if our lodgement date is 7 weeks behind you, then maybe, just maybe we'll be signing on here with good news in 7 weeks too

I hope you've gotten around to telling family now

Congratulations! I can only imagine what it feels like to tell your family that you've got your visa and will finally be moving! A bag of emotion right there! Good Luck!

Hi, I've heard a few people mention form 80-does this need to be included in an application for visa subclass 309/100? Could it possibly be requested at a later date?

Thanks
