If it's a new TV then Yes not a problem as Secam is being phased out in favour of DVB, If it's an older one then there could be issues.

our telly is from the dark ages (so huge it fills a table!) and we have had no problems running our WII and our DVD on it; maybe we were just lucky

I've got quite a recent one and it's written DVB-T on it but my DVD and wii still don't work! I'm sure it's a little problem but I have no idea how to solve it.
And besides it's written in small text that DVB-T is good for some countries and UK is not in the list

DVB-T is just a Digital terrestrial tuner, It has no relationship to the DVD or WII. Have you plugged in the WII and DVD switched them on and gone to the relevant AV channel?
