Default To all apsiring Ozzie Cops - The Recruits.

This is a new series that has started on the 'Watch' channel. It follows new recruits to the NSW Police as they go through training school and their probationary period. The first 2 episodes were on last night. I only caught as I was channel hopping after lates. It was really interesting and should give you all a good insight into what to expect.

Pincher,

I have been watching it too. Very interesting to compare the job here to 'Down Under'

It's about eight episodes in btw.

Really felt for the young girl, Hayley?, who had to deal with the suicide which was her first death. Not sure that, with a fag on, her tutor putting his arm around her and calling her 'Babe' was called for though.
The clips of the training school brought back found memories of my time at DPTC Ashford. Instructors are the same the world over!!!

Yeah agree about how she dealt with the suicide.

We thankfully have not suffered from the mind numbing political correctness that the UK police is suffering from, so putting your arm around someone and calling them 'babe' won't mean you will be sacked for being 'sexist,' or for inappropriate conduct.'

All the episodes of The Recruits are on Youtube if you want to see them all, they tended to focus on the Spooney recruits more as it obviously makes better television.
