going to a concert in amsterdam and feb on a tues night! anyone recomend any good bars or clubs ?? i fear the worst as a tues in feb isnt going to be that busy in amsterdam.

I think on Tuesday nights some of the cinema theatre have sneak preview night. Try Kriterion or one of the Pathe cinema's.

Oh sorry, read just as had posted you are going to a concert though. Kind of depends where the concert is. If you are going to Heineken Music Hall there's not much choice.

But Melkweg and Paradiso: lot's of options. I like cafe Eijlders (just off Leidseplein). Real Dutch brown cafe. If you want more music there's Bourbon St. Although I don't know if they have live music on Tuesdays.

Food, if you like Japanes try Japan Inn (Leidse Kruisstraat)

Wow! honestly in Amsterdam you don't need advice on bars because there are hundreds of them. I find one of the best places to go especially on a Tuesday is the three sisters and the Bell on Rembrandts square. Always lots of tourists and expats, of course a friendly atmosphere. Good luck and enjoy.
