Good hotels/location in HK
#1
Hi all,
Myself, OH and two young kids (5&4) will be looking to stay in HK for a few nights enroute to Perth Oz. Can anyone recommend any good hotels with decent facilities for the kids aswell as being close to real good shopping?
Never been to HK before so we all want a really good 3-4 day stopover with good shopping and relaxation.
Budget could be upto £100 per night for the room/all of us!
Any help would be appreciative.
Thanks again in advance

There's this place called The Peninsula.
Try that.
If that doesn't suit The Excelsior isn't bad.
Failing that try Chung Kung Mansions.

Look around Nathan Road in Kowloon. If you book online try and get the rate which includes breakfasts (could be 4 or 5 pounds each).

Loved the Renaissance Harbour View, but can't comment on how much that goes for these days...

The YMCA (Salisbury) on Kowloon, just round the corner from The Peninsula, is brilliant (much more like a hotel than a hostel and even has a pool and fantastic views).

Also try the New World Renaissance in Kowloon.
Usually you don't find too many decent hotels in HK below USD 150/night, although you might get some deals when they're not busy. If there is a trade fair at the time you go, then hotels will be full and prices will be hiked up further.
HK always reminds me of a mini England plonked in Asia! You'll see what I mean when you get there...
Have fun!
