Default Skilled Worker PR Application - Anyone self employed in UK ?

In recent years I've worked freelance through my own limited company.

With regards employment references who should I use for the least resistance. My Accountant, Agent for each respective position, etc etc.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi,
I'm a self employed gas fitter in uk, we are heading for Calgary in April.
What i needed to do was Get a letter head from my accountant saying he has been doing my accounts (for what ever amount of time). Also you will need to do a stat dec detailing all you daily job duties and then they need to signed and stamped at a solicitors office.

Hope this helps good luck

Hi just to follow up the last post, I'm a self employed Electrician and I used letters from customers who I'd worked for, a letter from my accountant detailing how long he had been doing my books and an Affordavit signed by my solicitor stating my duties on a day to day basis.

Hi
Follow the good advice provided by mags1972 and you should be fine, you could also include references from any trade suppliers and sub-contractors if available

regards

Hi,

My OH, who was the principal applicant, had been self employed for quite a few years when we were doing the PR paperwork. He wrote a signed explanatory note explaining the situation and enclosed notarised summary sheets from his annual accounts for the years he'd been self employed which were on accountant letter headed paper anyway. He didn't get any references from clients or anything but if you can get them easily it's always worth throwing them in.

I was a self employed dryliner back home. My application is in to the medicals stage, so I pressume my documents were all sufficient! All I sent in was pay stubs from companies i subbed off of, references from comapanies and clients and my city and guilds certificates. Didn't hear anything back other than med requests!
