Personal experience . Never cleared customs and luggage under fifty minutes (more like an hour plus )particularly at midnight when there seems to be a big influx of landings. I would be interested if you have got out in twenty minutes.
i know all airports are slow but Perth has been getting slower

If you want your answers pick up the phone and call the rental company (pick two or three if you don't know) and call the hotel. It'll take you abou 10 minutes and you will feel so much better.

Either way, do it soon. You don't have that much longer to book these things. You can ask questions over and over if you like but you're still no closer to actually finalizing your plans then you were months ago. Call and book... simple as that. Questions on the board help with the preliminaries but you really do need to call and confirm everything.

We were out in under 30 minutes a few weeks ago. It was about 0500 on a Tuesday morning.

Hi Brian

We took out all the extra insurances with Bayswater. First time no problems with the car but the second time we acquired a bump on the rear bumper which I'm guessing someone backed into us - as I know we never touched anything.

Anyway we never saw it until they did their inspection and I think we got docked for $65 from the bond - even though we had all the extra insurance but I can't remember what the excess was as it was over 2 years ago.

Same thing happened to us with a hire car in Mellie - I no we never backed into anything but again the car aquired a dent. Fortunately we had taken the car back at closing time and the girl couldn't be bothered with the hassle of it all and let it go!

It's a real nuisance when you acquire a dent that you didn't do thanks to useless other drivers. I watched a guy in a huge 4x4 bump into someone in Officeworks car park in Freo only to reverse up and drive off without even looking to see if he caused any damage.

Default bayswater car hire or rhinocar hire

Hi guys on the car hire thread again,i am looking into both bayswater car hire and rhino car hire, cant make up my mind which one to go for,i have read some scary reviews as to regards to bayswater but also some good ones too,i suppose each hire is different, but the negs on bayswater does put one off a little.
I do have a excess policy through a third party with insurance4carhire.com so do i really need say bayswater or rhinos excess insurance?

Looking at the rhino excess policy looks very much like mine etc so would just be buying same again, but anyone heard much about rhino, they are very well priced and cheap to me,i was thinking of going with them but probably without excess as i have that policy or one very much like it already so cost of hire would be much less for me.
The bonus is they use major hire car companies and also pick up and drop off at airport which is good for me.

I am also drawn to bayswater,as they are not bad priced but then so is rhino, even if adding the excess with bayswater they are still well priced and in a great location for where i could probably pick up and drop off,but then the hassles of taxi when i arrive at perth on first night and taxi again when going home.

Also if i did go with rhino and picked up car when i arrived, how can someone check for damage before taking car away as it dark?

If i could not get car that night plan was to find a hotel not far and go back in morning and to get from airport or from bayswater,i can say my other hire places is not far behind baysawaters prices and i dont have the hassle of having to get there and dropping off the car early on way home.
My Dad and my sister always use Bayswater Car-rental. Dad usually stays at the Comfort Inn Bel Eyre on the Great Eastern Highway 5 mins from Domestic Airport and about 15 mins from International Airport. Bayswater car Rental are 5 mins away from there.
My sister usuall picks her car up from Adelaide Terrace in the City. I'm sure all the cars are Toyota Corolas hatch or saloons. Not sure if you can pick up at the airport . They have used them about 10 times now so i presume they are happy with their service.
Good Luck

John

Mate; MAKE A DECISION. By the time you're done faffing about there won't be any cars left at either place and you won't find a hotel room. Make a bloody decision and get the reservations made.

I just got an email from holidayautos.co.uk - 20% off from 8am UK time today for 48 hours. They have very reasonable rates for excess reduction as well.

Link below is from the email, I think you need to use this to access the sale.
