CAYMAN ISLANDS INFO
#1
Hello lovely people!,
We are newlyweds who are interested in securing employment and moving to the Caymans next year. I wanted to ask anyone who has experience of this if they could point us in the direction of some good agencies that have been used for this purpose. Also has anyone used workinthecaribbean.com? any information would be most welcome. Thanks in advance

It's probably better to phone the recruitment agencies that are on the ground here in Cayman. I have heard CML are pretty good and Infinity is the one that my company uses. Employers, like the world over, are not advertising any positions but these companies have the network to find company's needs and try and sell them candidates and they are the companies that people use to employ temps esp in the financial sector.
Unfortunately, the govt is increasing work permit costs significantly to raise revenue and this is having a negative impact on companies hiring decisions. My company is expanding its workforce in Toronto rather than pay $7,500 for an accountant permit here.
Good luck - It's absolutely tipping it down now, grey and yucky and we're under tropical storm watch for Ida so not a typical day in Paradise, but the sun will be out tomorrow!
