Canadian news media, which one to watch ?
#16
There isn't a single Canadian news programme worth watching. They're all really bad, and this coming from someone who grew up watching the Grampian news. And the language-mangling is dreadful - it's plain wrong to see a middle-aged man in a sober suit look into the camera and say dramatically and without a hint of shame, "Shockwaves as loonie tanks against greenback." Tsk. Wouldn't happen on the BBC.
Not much happens in Canada - daily news bulletins aren't really justifiable. A 15 minute round up once a month or so would probably suffice. Same applies to Canadian newspapers.

Stephen Harper is my hero, so I watch Faux News and CNN for local content.

I think you may be referring to 'Colleen Jones'. She was the skip of a very successful Women's Curling team, and I believe represented Canada , with great success . Like you, I was not thrilled with her weather/sports reporting/ but I can still admire her for her curling success. As to lipstck colour and hairstyle, that surely is HER personal choice.

Of course her hair and lipstick colour is down to personal choice. It's also my personal choice to dislike her choice. Now that Heather, she's always perfectly groomed.

That Heather can also bellow "HAAAAAARRRRDDD" on suitable occasions, I'm told.

Probably the first time you have ever heard of such a thing as a dentist. Welcome to Canada! Sorry about the news, but your teeth are happy here.

Like many I was an avid consumer of News in the UK, here though, not so much.
Its like a weight off me, I don't worry, nor care, anymore about World News, etc., none here is worth reading or listening to, now I have that much less to worry about.

CBC Newsworld (ahem, News Network), though I'm not happy with the new flashing banners. It's like the Internet on TV. :/
BBC World News. How could I not? And Fry was fabulous against the Catholics today.
CityTV for Toronto news. Mostly because my wife turns it on before I wake up.
