I would add that you should treat it like an experience and not feel bad if it doesn't work out. Nor should you feel guilty for not liking it as much as others seem to. In fact, I have found that the folks who aren't all gushing and lovín it all, are the ones in the end who stick it out.

All places are good for the time you are there, and are an experience. So enjoy them for what they are, and don't expect too much for them. But, I would perhaps wait a while due to the bad exchange rate.

Hmm exchange rate does seem a bit pants at the moment, well our time scale if all goes to plan & plain sailing which it never does we should be heading out mid to end of next year so hopefully things might have started picking up by then
