Default Rock and hard place

Hi Guys,
We are waiting for our PR to come through, but I was recently made redundant from the job I came over for, I have another job offer but I am told the HRSDC approval is going to take 4-8 weeks to come through. The company says they will need to fill the position if it takes more than 4 weeks. My work permit is good until 2011. Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to get working sooner??
Thanks for any info.

Is your job listed as one of the ones that you can do the expedited LMO ? that way the answer comes back quicker.

Check out how long you Provincial Nominee scheme is taking as I believe that one you have approval you get implied status ie no LMO needed

1. If you are approved for PNP you don't have implied status, the PNP will issued you a letter of support which you can use to obtain a work permit. You can't start a new job until you get the work permit.
