Default Experiences please of holiday homes in southern Ireland?

I am thinking of buying a holiday home in southern Ireland and wondered whether anyone had any experiences or input to offer?

Bugger off and raise the price of houses elsewhere!

You'd probably get a deal at the moment. The place is full of empty properties. It all depends where you want it. West of Ireland would be cheaper and i think they are flying again to Knock.

I know a couple who were trying to sell their house in Ireland, they moved to Australia. They could not get the price they wanted, so they just rent it out now. They have a reputable agents to take care of it.

The property market in Ireland is in the toilet. Sellers can't get what they want, so they are not selling, unless they have no choice. You should be able to get a good deal. You will need to do the leg work yourself. Don't rely on estate agents, unless you know one very well.
