Hi humpy

Just wanted to ask about much for Air conditioning engineers/Refrigeration.

I know you have to go to collage. I am still in Uk. But do meany companies take you on while you learn the Oz rules and regulations ?

As the job adverts all want you qualified to Oz standards.
Is it hard to get the qualifications they need?
I have all the Uk qualifications but I understand that doesn't count for much?

Do the companies give you the starting chance that we need?

As you are in Recruitment and deal with lots then hope you may be able to answer some of my questions?

Yes, They will take you on but to get a licence you have to do a course. They do value the British work ethic, all trades are slow at the moment, I met 2 english guys who work for same aircon company out here last week, Where you thinking of going, Have you got a visa sorted, sponsorship is near on impossible in a trade.

Hi I am so lucky to have Visa. Its the course I am interested to find out about. The cost and whats involved. Also how long the course takes.

Brisbane the Gold Coast is where I would like to go.

Do the companies take you on while you sorting out your licence?
I am aware the job situation won't be good and especially now your coming to your winter less work about. Just wanted to find out how bad it is for us trade people.

Hi Humpy. I to don't know how to send a PM,please send details to jlme_cornell@hotmail.com & I will forward a CV. Briefly I am 42 & have many years experience in the contruction/maintenance industry, have ran my own company in Spain for six years & managed construction projects in europe.
I am a carpenter/joiner by trade, quite happy on frame erection to second fix work aswell as shop fitting, kitchen fitting etc.
