Any other Brits living in Kansas City? I'm in Olathe, I have seen a number of "U.K. type" number plates riding around...You'll know it's me, I have a "Manchester United" plate....Don't hold that against me!![]() Just a thought to see if any one else is out there! ![]() |

I used to live in the KC area but dont now. There is a shop in Lawrence, KS called Brits http://www.britsusa.com/ - you may be able to run into a few Brits there or maybe they have a community board for posting meetups?

Are you the guy with the Subaru Outback with the plates "MAN UTD?" If so, we met at the McDonalds in Hayes, KS, a few years ago. I was driving the coach. Jim. |

At the moment I am in Topeka but will soon be going to Lawrence. I heard a British person in Brits the last time I was there and almost freaked out, it was so weird! Brits rules, it's soooo good!

My step daughter is at K.U. I know the Brits shop in Lawrence, a limited supply, but still worth the effort....We live in Olathe, which is 30 miles east of Lawrence......

Sorry to bump this old thread.
I'm in Topeka too, originally from Dumfries. There is another store in Lawrence called World Markets that has a lot of British stuff. Also the re-vamped Topeka Dillons at Fairlawn plaza has chocolate biscuits, baked beans, marmalade and things in the ethnic section |

Have lived in KC for last 16 years on the Missouri side originally from London and support Chelsea.
Have a good mate from Manchester that lives here also and follows United. There are a few Brits about, but few and far between. |

If you are still looking for somewhere to watch England in the World Cup,
there are a few english lads from both the Kansas and Missouri sides of KC going to the Crosstown Station in downtown KC MO for the usa game. Here is the website link. http://crosstownstation.com/cms/inde...13&Itemi d=57 They are having a big screen on stage and after the game will have a band playing called the British Invasion. Should be a right laugh and a good day out for all. The more England fans we can get together especially for this game the better. The match starts at 1.30pm and we should be getting there around noon. We are still open to where we are going to watch other games, and I will let you know if you're interested. Where were you thinking of going. Cheers |
