Hi Folks,

Just got say this thread is anwsering a lot of my questions just before I was thinking of posting them!

Well Toronto is the destination of my wife and I in a few months but I got lucky - I have pursuaded the Canadian arm of the company I work for (an I. T. services company) to let me transfer so they are helping out with the work permit. Now it's sell the house, sell the cars box up what is left and get find a new home in Toronto close to the TTC - I will be working in downtown Toronto so the TTC is a good thing!

Being over 30 witha good few years protected no claims bonus I really hope the car insurance comes down in cost (gulp!)

Cheers,

Matthew

Hey Matthew

Take a read of my blog to see our journey through intra-company transfer to Toronto.

PM me when you get here for a contact for Auto Insurance if you like. Just remember to bring full proof in the correct format. A search will help you find further info on this topic.

Bring lots of proof of your entitlement, and remember, Canadian no claims bonuses don't discount your policy by the huge ammounts that UK no claims bonuses do.. Be prepared for high premiums.

Rob,

I like your blog - thanks! I will follow your adventures!

Hopefully the insurance people here will supply me the right sort of thing if I ask.

I am so looking forward to this move, still have some worries when I think about it. What's Candian office culture like?

Cheers,

Matthew
