Default Childs Medical

Can anyone tell me what age they class as a child? I thought I read somewhere that kids did not require an xray if under 16yrs,I,ve just been quoted adult price for my 15yr old's medical and told she will have to have a chest xray. Is this correct or are they trying it on?
Thanks Helen

Hi Helen
They are right,
A 15 year old is considered an adult, they WILL have to have an x-ray, they will also have to have blood tests done too. I am so glad I didn't tell my 15 year old she had to as she would have paniced, as it happened she did nearly pass out, but doctor was great with her.

my 11 and 13 year old had to have an x-ray but no blood tests.
Hope this helps
PM if you need any more info
MandD
