Tony,
Thanks for the reply hopefully they won't make any more dramatic changes to visa eligibility for PR route as they did in September 07 with the 882 visa replacing with the 487 requirements. We are hopefully going to get the 176.

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all your comments and other questions - the info coming out is really useful...and it's nice to know that other folk are finding it useful too.
Those who are doing the course in Aus: are you the main applicant, what visa route did you/are you take/taking, how much did it cost as an overseas student? Could you tell me more, or PM me please.
VCTC/ITEC/IIHHT quals go to L3 in massage. Since posting thread and this reply, I have found a foundation degree in complementary body therapies which will take the UK Level to 4/5. It's listed on the UCAS site for those interested. Part time it'll take 3 yrs.
Tony - as I am only just starting out massaging I literally have no experience yet. I can and will be doing some bodywork and building up a client base in due course (I'm qualified and insured). Now, as I do that, it'll give me work experience. However, will VETASSES only class work exp from AFTER I complete the FdSc because my current quals won't make their mark? Or will this legitimate work exp gained from my current quals count.... doing the course and working will be concurrent - and also independant to each other. How easy is it for a 40-point occupation like massage to get a ens pr straightaway? Do you think it's viable? I'm otherwise unskilled (fork lift driver!) but my massage quals are L3 - what would you advise, Tony? Or anyone?
I'm prepared to qualify in something else (skilled trades), if it's quick and I can get the experience and then continue with massage after migrating on back of the alternative qual....desperate because times a-ticking for us! Eeek!

Thanks again guys, please keep this replying, your info is really appreciated.
