Huge storm on Costa Blanca!

That was some storm last night into this morning!

I know in Denia there is flooding and some people are without electricity and water.

What's it like further up and down the Costa Blanca?

Hi Joe,

Really bad flooding here in Jalon too!

The dry river bed (where the Saturday market usually takes place) has become a raging river and taking some cars for a ride. Police fear it may overflow. Roads out of Jalon are very dangerous. The walls off the road look like waterfalls and alot of land slips on the 332. We drove into Calpe this morning and it was treacherous. Roads into Calpe are also closed due to flooding. Electricity here keeps going on and off. There are police everywhere.....

It hasn't stopped raining since 21.00 last night. Thunder and lightening throughout the night and still occasional claps of thunder. We can usually see the mountain from our balcony but no sign of them at all today! Complex swimming pool looks as though it is just about to overflow. Have you watched the reports on the Spanish TV?

Still tipping it down here, 15mins south of Alicante. Started yesterday morning and hasn't stopped. Thunder and lightning still scary

Hot and sunny here but rained pissistantly last night.

It is horrendous here... just out side Bendiorm.

Just had to drive into Benidorm in the dinghy and all the tourists are wearing those Durex style coats....!

The old and new town are flooded!

The thunder doesn't stop..

The rain in Spain and all that!

Thanks everyone! It's great to hear how others are fairing!

I thought it had stopped raining here, but it came down by the bucketload a few minutes ago!

Rain most of Yesterday, then this morning a few hours with a bit of sun, then started raining about 11.00, and we have had rain ever since, with a really big thunderstorm as well, not raining too hard, but persistant.

Fairly mild but slightly overcast dry day here in Buckinghamshire. WTF you all doing in Spain anyway?
