Piff Poff - You urgently need to get some healthy quick-to-prepare food! ......And make sure you eat regularly. I know it's easier said than done but you gotta eat and it would be a shame to waste all this exercise that you are getting, on burning off the rubbish you may eat in the evening because there is nothing around to relieve the hunger instantly. Weetabix is quick!
I am avoiding bread at lunch-time this week and just having a salad with some chicken/low fat ham, with fruit for other times during the day. the first few days are the worst because I crave what isn't good for me, of course! Happy healthy eating everyone! ![]()

Well done on your 2lb weight loss Arris.
Hey flip flop - I was just about to hit submit when you posted - Way to go! Last night for supper in the end I had some of the homemade soup a grilled chicken breast and herby weightwatcher style wedge's - pretty yummy supper. Still on a downer today though - Has anyone ever blended anything, only to watch the contents of the blender spew from the BOTTOM? My breakfast smoothie ended up being very lumpy seeing as the blender has kicked the bucket. Went to the Doc's today and he is changing my contraception as once a month I feel really sad for a few days - to the point I can't read of peoples pets dying without sobbing. So I am not expecting a loss this week - a gain would be bad seeing as I have been really very careful with what I eat. Didn't expect a slump in my 1st week though ![]()

We all know what we should be doing - it's just actually doing it - and sticking with it more than two weeks that is the problem! And why can't I lose 7lbs a week by just cutting out a few slices of bread? T'aint fair !! Weigh in tomorrow - not hopeful ! ![]() |

I'm a size 10-12 UK but it's so much more satisfying to use the North American sizes and say I'm a 6-8 (lower figure when 10lbs lighter, higher figure now, sadly). I do own a pair of stretchy bootleg Gap jeans in a 4 (Canadian) which I can somehow yank over all the bulgy bits and the act as a nice corset (provided I wear a smock top to cover the muffin top). I'll know I'm at the right size for me when the overhang's gone! |

Cheers Piff Poff & Robski
![]() Well done Flip Flop - must be great having gone down 2 dress sizes. I'm currently a UK size 18-20 (depending where I buy clothes - i'm amazed at the difference), I have size 14-16 clothes in the wardrobe that I want to get back into. I was really happy with myself then - not wanting to be under a size 14, i'm 5 foot 9 & size 14-16 i'll be more than happy with. Hey Piff, like the sound of your grilled chicken & WW wedges - gonna give them a try. Hope everyone is doing alright - keep at it ![]() Feeling very surprised at myself but also pleasantly chuffed for admitting my current size on a public forum - that alone is enough to spur me on!!! |

Grand total for me for the first week - 1lb !!! Not great - but I'm not going to beat myself up. It's 1lb. Done. Next ?
Aren't clothes sizes a funny old thing? I have never really been a UK size 8 or 10. I seemed to go from large kids clothes into a ladies size 12 and missed out anything in between. I honestly do not think I am the shape to ever get into a 10 - it would be incredibly unrealistic. Shapely hips and generally large frame anyway, and all that. But - I would be doing such a happy dance to get back to UK size 14 - that's what spurs me on - and of course it would actually be 12 here in Canada - wahoo !!! Well done Arris - and I look forward to some more success stories over the next day or so. And a one, and a two, and a three and rest .... |
