Want to move to Portugal

Troggie's the joke meister. I'll leave them to him. Never knew that you were from Lincoln Cleri. Used to be at Waddington years ago. And Swinderby before that.
I disagree Trog. I've always felt that a professionally cooked curry is far better. Don't know why - just do. And there's nothing wrong with mine either. I've been cooking them for long enough.
I have a picture somewhere of a load of Gurkhas tucking into a curry that I made when i was in Kosovo. If your curry gets the '
' from them, then you're not doing badly

I did my basic training at Swinderby and then three stints at Nth Luffenham on various language courses between tours in Berlin.
Perhaps I've been eating curries in the wrong places then. Whenever I've had a curry in Sittingbourne I've come away thinking I could have done better myself. The last one I had had rubber prawns in. I really should have sent them back

just looked at my earlier post and can't understand what came over me. I did my basic training at Hemswell not Swinderby
. Still, same county

Hemswell is not far from were i live. It is now very well known for it carboot sales and antique fairs. There's one or two bits of aeroplane on show as well.

Ola just back from Exhibition at Fatacil. Quite a few over priced Brit products but some Ok stuff. After picking up lots of freebeeezzs, Had a Chicken Tikka Masala! and listened to Irish Band. Band far better than the Curry - this time I think mine better than eating out! Still got a 6 pk of Heinz B Beans for just over 4.50 Euro's from MOGs. Tomorrow is start of pre Xmas health kick will keep you all informed!!! watch this space! Send encouraging hints and tips - like try not to eat or drink!!!

hi there
sounds like you don,t want too much!
anyway it is quite a lot more expensive living down south in the Algarve.
we are 2 people living here in Central Portugal (3 months)
great area to pick by the way! we think 1000 euros a month without accomodation is pretty expensive. 2 of us so far are spending no more than about 150 euros a week and that includes utilities and Beer/Wine and food
so you should eat pretty well with £60.00 a week.
it will though cost a bit extra for the internet as any decent connection will cost 30 euros a month (plus extras if you download a lot)
the Central Portugal area if absolutely Beautiful. and you will get much more for your money.
feel free to look us up if you are in the area, always got a cuppa on the go or a bottle open!
cheers and good luck
