Hi all,
Mrs Express and I are leaving for Blighty, tomorrow night, on board an American Airlines 777, from O'Hare to Heathrow. Will be there until the 30th
Booked a Renault Scenic rental car, from Avis online, and saved $200
Will give a full report, upon my return.
Right now though, I'm as happy as a dog with two weiners and street-full of fire hydrants
Jim.

The wife and I want to go over so bad but one look at the exchange rate helps control the urge.

Have a wonderful trip and spend lots of time in pubs getting fed. I love pub grub.

In Northamptonshire? Never!
Keira, were you there in February 1991 when the big snow storm hit? I was living in Kingsthorpe Village and commuting to Corby (let's face it, no-one wants to actually live in Corby
). I got as far as opposite Nene College before my car froze. I waited two days for the AA to rescue my car. I did, however, tell them not to make me a priority as I was safe and warm at a friend's house.

I'm trying to remember the weather that year. That was the year I met my hubbie - so I must have spent too much time doing "other things" to notice the harsh weather...
