We found the developer really good but agree about the solicitors, they had a habit of telling you things were being done when in actual fact they hadn't. Had a few cross words with them and that's probably putting it mildly Mind you it got them moving

We bought through MRI and although sales technique could be agressive, we didn't find them too bad and reasonably helpful. Legal side etc fine. Aftersales not so good, once we decided we didn't want their furniture package (wanted some individualism after all) they lost interest - chap in charge couldn't give a stuff basically! Other staff there helpful, and we have used them with one or two queries we had over past 18 months. However, they do not earn their money! We were told they would check property regularly - last year we came over in November and there had been an electric cut - all our electric was off, freezer had defrosted, but when we mentioned it we were told "oh yes, we should have checked that for you, we knew the electric was off". Same thing has happened this year - we are wise to it now and won't leave anything perishable in fridge or freezer. Like you have all said - money for old rope!
