why stay in england

From what you have told us so far it doesn't say anything of the sort.
You have quoted "overseas allowance" and "overseas additions" neither of which has any clear link with the UK Gov. As the payslip is a company one it could readily be the taxi company itself paying an "overseas allowance" to its staff.
Until you can point out the section of the UK's tax code that generates this supposed payment, you have a irrelevant payslip and some mate who tells you immigrants get loads of government payments. Neither of these confirm your point that Polish workers get 1150 quid UK Government handouts.

Our GOVERMENT does not give any handouts at all.

So here are my reasons for staying/living in UK
1) I am English and want to live in England
2) I can be in my holiday property on Lake Windermere in just one hour
3) I can speak the local language
4) I like the climate (it is not too hot)
5) I can make money from UK property
6) The golf courses are not built on the side of mountains
7) I can watch my lifelong football team (Bolton Wanderers)
8) I don't have to worry about transferring UK money (pensions etc)
9) I am near all my family
10) I don't destroy the environment by flying out to Spain all the time
And my reasons for not buying/living in Spain
1) I will not make any money from buying in Spain
2) It is too hot
3) It costs too much to get there and back (both financially and environmentally)
4) There is no cricket
5) I can't be arsed learning a new language at my age
6) There ain't a great deal of demand for Economic Regeneration specialists
7) I don't want to clean pools
8) I don't want to clean holiday apartments
9) I don't want to run a bar
10) It is cheaper to rent than buy
Spain is a nice place to holiday for one or tw0 weeks, but liver there, no way.
Just my humble opinion of course
Kevin

We honestly have to earn around 550 a week for a normal quality life.
Luckily having our own business provides that and more but with that so does the long hours. Also not seeing much of other half.
If we dont need much for the next week he will take 2 or 3 days off otherwise it is a lot of hours.
And when he is home his in bed trying to catch up his sleep.
Money goes so quick in this country and nothing is free.
We dont have a beach that is lovely or the weather right for it.
Every activity costs money and with 3 kids that a lot a week xxx

Im just saying how it is on this payslip and a very good friend who works for the job centre.
I am not slagging anyone off who works hard regardless of where they are from.
I am saying People who pay there taxes all there lifes should be entitled to some help i.e My NAN who has worked all her life and entitled to sweet FA

If your Nan is over that threshold then she is deemed to have enough to live on.
My husband and I have a tiny income of £7.5k per year (which is one of the reasons we live in Spain). However, we have savings above the threshold set for means-tested benefits.
If we were to come back to the UK we would mot be entitled to any means-tested benefits, in spite of only having a small income; we would be expected to use our savings un til they went below the threshold.
Much as I don't like it, I see no reason why other taxpayers should subsidize us when we have the means to pay ourselves.
I must add; my husband IS a taxpayer to the UK.

My neighbours in Spain reguarly head back to the UK for op's etc. Also when someone goes into a hospital in the UK for treatment (esp emergency) they are not automatically quized about their legal entitlement to it and made prove their resident status unlike Spain, where I have on more than occasion being turned away for treatment (that I needed) because I couldn't pay.

Technically you can't, but that doesn't mean that plenty of people don't.

I ought to point out that it is of course totally illegal to use the NHS for normal treatment whilst you are a resident in Spain, and should you be caught at it you will be made to pay for any treatment you have received. I have read though that certain services for emergency treatment are covered, but I cant remember if it covers everything (i.e. accomodation in hospital)

I'm not condoning what they do. I used to get quite wound up about it especially when sick (as I never did it, infact I've only been to the doctor once since returning)! One of them recently had extensive back surgery in the UK and her husband is a resident with a contacted job in a ligit company.
