I kid yee not, The Telegraph were quoting a press release from Ryan Air saying thats what they were planning. 7 quid = 14 dollars but uber uber cheap. Thats how Ryan air make their money. I flew from Stanstead to Barcelona for a tenner not so long ago. They're "awesome" as they say here.

Can you foresee living here when you're 70 years old? Will the healthcare situation be sorted out? Will you be able to afford it?

its more than likely a last minute type of thing... essentially if the flight is going anyways then it behooves them to sell as many seats as possible, empty seats can't make money, the dollybirds are already paid to service a full plane, the planes budget is already setup to take a full plane... may as well fill it even if all you do is break even or make a quid profit..
its the same principle as package holidays... the company has already paid for it... so selling it at 800quid per person in Jan & 100 quid in August... from their point of view both are good.
