Welcome to the forum, but to be honest you may aswel just have typed:

Vague vague vague, vaguedy vague vague!

If you are thinking about Canada as a destination though your first port of call would be the Canadian Immigration website, from there you will be able to see what is involved and whether you are likely to qualify. It can be a long process, and we are talking years rather than months!

www.mls.ca will allow you to view houses and prices in Canada to give you an idea of the housing market.

Good luck

Mark

Hi..

I agree with Mark, a bit vague ... we are biased and love Canada for many many reasons...

Have you been to Canada or are you posting on all forums ?

Sorry was a bit vague, we were in Toronto and surrounding area in May and loved it, people so friendly very easy to get around and totally different to England, to be honest we have no idea of where to start and just looking for general ideas, I will try anything work wise as I can put my mind to generally anything, my girlfriend has worked with kids from ages 3 too 17 for many years.

www.cic.gc.ca and the immigration forum on this site for the how - here using the search function and asking for where and why. Try the self-assessment test to see if you have enough points.

Hi, welcome to the forum, mostly full of happy little campers.

Like others have said, look at CIC's website first to see if you have the points, then if you do you are looking at a 4 yr wait. Can get here quicker if you secure a validated job offer, maybe look down that rd too.

Its not an easy or quick journey and doesn't work out for everyone, but if you get the idea firmly implanted in your heads its hard to shake off.

We were one of the lucky ones as things have gone well and we are really happy here.( Fingers crossed for it to stay that way too )

All the provinces are quite differnet too. I too loved Toronto, but knew I defo couldn't live there. We plumped for the glorious Alberta and have no regrets.

OK. the world is "YOUR" oyster.

Problem is you have to know what B]"YOU" [/b] want.

Anywhere in the world can be either crap or good at the same time to different people.

So starting with anywhere in the world...

Humm major difference is Climate, Language and Culture.

So Climate do you have a preference or Long term idea? No still anywhere.

Langauge can you speak more than English - Yes lots no probably 5 Oz NZ SA US Canada

Ok the biggie what Culture?

So you settle on a couple of countries.

Now what hobbies, non-working lifestyle do you have?

This goes on and till you really know yourselves.

Remember unless you don't need to earn a living you probably will be spending the same amount of time on the mundane normal stuff as you do now. Last thing on the list is finding a place where there is a job to pay for the choosen lifestyle.

Have fun learning about yourself and looking for the place of your dreams.

Pick a place for a job and you could be exactly where you are now.

I'd knock the US off that list, it's really hard getting here for people who are well qualified and experienced in there fields, easiest route only leaves marriage.

H1B visa, have to have a degree for it, or 12 years experience in the field, ain't easy finding anyone willing to dub up the costs either *lol*...and that visa is out till next year anyway because the quota is filled, not that anyone getting it could start till Oct anyway.

Another thing to think about, definitely visit these places in the dead of winter, Canadian winters in places can be really brutal, like it is in Maine, snot freeze would be enough to put most people off *lol*
