People in LA and MS will start to have to use masks because of the stench.

Bush ought to be SHAMED that he has spent *****-all on infrastructure in our country, but he smashed another country's to bits and gave the contract to rebuild it to Cheney.
Perhaps *****ing Halliburton should do some pro bono?

It's a little bit of payback for what was done to the Clintons. It is amazing how bush supporters squeal when someone is half as nasty to them as Rove and his allies have been to others.

This wasn't the hurricane that did most of the damage, it was the poor design and "hope" that the levees would do their job if a flood or high tide occurred. They didn't, they broke.

My husband returned from Sri Lanka a fortnight ago where he and a number of his work colleagues had volunteered to build new homes with 'Habitat for Humanity' for the Tsunami victims near Galle. There are still many hundreds of people living in 'tent cities' but the Sri Lankan government will not allow anyone to live within 150 metres of the coastline for obvious reasons.

They've already discussed the mold issue.

Some problems are the fault of the entire country and all of its citizens. Racism, ignorance, and accepting poverty as a given are all failings of plenty of people here. However, I do look to our leaders to open, rather than shut, people's eyes to the problems in this country.

Do you have children?

They pretty well have to rebuild, it is the intersection of rail, road, and water. The fifty miles of dock along the river is the largest port in the USA and handles a large part of the grain exports. A lot will be reclaimed. I'll be interested to see if they up the design of the levees to category 4 or 5 specification.

Humans always seem to build in dangerous areas.
