My guess is middle aged male, Western District of Victoria currently or recently (there have been references to Casterton, Stawell, Ararat etc) - definitely an affinity with the land, the country, things farming, possible speech writer for Pauline Hanson or a maybe a left wing hippie who cryptically likes to appear to be a redkneck; loves winding people up, particularly poms; knows his Midnight Oil too.

Of course he likes the speculation, thats all part of "the game". It seems strange (or maybe not?) that the most reaction to the needling seems to come from people who seem the most insecure about their move & being here in Oz. The unsettled ones. The few aussies that post here seem to not be phased at all by the banter, its all part of the persona .

Similar to the fact that some people get offended & uptight about being called poms (insert nationality) by aussies.

Anyway, I like Megs, sometimes his mind scares me, but its a bit like a roller-coaster, you always come back for more .

I agree, I like the banter with Megs and seeing how others can get wound up by him. As I said he posts a lot of good and interesting stuff too (as well as the scary as you say at times). The quickly posted, well researched statistics can be funny too, he truly is the Google King.
