So very true.

No google. No messageboards. Its a wonder anyone managed to immigrate at all!

In fact, I wonder what the rates of spousal immigration were, say, 30 years ago? I didn't meet my husband via the internet but I think a lot of people did. Interesting to think about.

30 years ago, according to some, you simply went to the embassy, said to them "here, I'm a US citizen, this is my wife, I'm taking her back with me" and then they just said "why yes sir, sign here... and here..." lol. Well one person did put it to me like that, and he immigrated about 30 years ago... but the laws have changed, and I don't think they were quite as strict then.

28th March - I-130 officially filed, 23rd June - I-130 approved, 18th July - received case number, 24th July - medical, 28th August - Interview VISA APPROVED!, 3rd Sept - Visa in hand, 13th Sept - flew to the US, 28th Sept - Got my 10 yr GC!
