The property tax is Impuesto sobre Bienes Inmuebles (IBI) and as far as I can make out from the Huelva website of the Oficina de Gestion Tributaria there would not appear to be an option to pay on line.

Cuota de conservacion probably refers to your Community maintenance charge.

Hope this helps.

If you live on Esuri this refers to the EUC charges. So you would have in ascending order your community charge, inter community charge, EUC charge and finally IBI. SOMETHING LIKE 90 per cent of owners refuse to pay this charge on the basis that it duplicates elements of IBI and inter community. The Ayuntamiento provides little or no services extra to the IBI charge for the 1.2 million euro they should collect from this charge. Even the town buses do not run to Esuri. We have no regular police patrols, no police point, no council office outpost and no road repairs!

Although if you are considering not paying the EUC charges you should bear in mind that it is a legally enforceable civic debt (whether you agree with or not) and at the last EUC AGM steps to initiate legal action against debtors were agreed. Legal action has already been successful against some of the biggest debtors (including MF)

Thanks for that Mike, we are (according to John) part of the 10% that do pay and as we live in a foreign country I would not do otherwise as there are repercussions. I would also like to add that I would feel awful reaping the benefits of something other people are paying for. Bryony

We also pay and have done from the first invoice however there are very large numbers who do not. Or perhaps a better way to put it would be that most if not all of the big developers do not pay. Even Fadesa only pay for a small part of their ownership ( having split their holdings across several companies ). This means that the accumulated debt of the EUC is over one million euro.

Also, in the figures presented to the AGM, the number of private debtors (as a percentage of the whole debt) was actually very small. Maybe a load of those who profess not to have paid are exhibiting a lot of bravado but rather less veracity?
