Swati is an unknown quantity at this point
Default L2 Expiry and L1 expiry do not match

Details:
I am in L1
5 yrs completion : Apr 2013
Visa Expiry : Feb 2014
I94 expiry : Feb 2014

My spouse (L2)
Visa expiry : Jan 2013
I94 : Jan 2013

Since I am moving to India for 7 months , I will get an extra 7 months in my 5 year max stay out which is Nov 2013. Now how do we extend my spouse dates (either I94 or Visa). When I extended my L1 visa for the next 3 yrs in 2010 I automatically got 2014 but my spouse got only 2013 in the extension.

What should I do to extend his dates?

I don't think there's anything YOU need to do. HE needs to exit the USA and re-enter using a valid L-2 visa, in order to get a new I-94 with a new exit date.
