Qantas, United, Virgin Australia & Delta fly direct from Aus to LAX.

Plenty of options onwards from there to London.

I was guessing, as I said, I haven't flown that way and don't intend to! Easy enough to work out on any flight website for someone who's actually planning it.

My point is more that if people are looking at going that way they must make sure they can use the VWP - big stumbling block that has previously scuppered posters with convictions - realising after booking tickets that they may need a visa.
