Guns - they're all over the place. Even two year olds have them.

It's bloody brilliant.

You know guns? They're brill-yant, aren't they? All metal and shinly like, and they make lots of noise, and you can shoot them, and kill people from a long way off. Some of them you can just pull the trigger and they keep firing. It's brill-yant. And you know bullets? They're brill-yant too, because they're all shiny and come in all different shapes, and they have pointy or hollow things on the ends, and the casings can be all diff'rent colours and that. It's brill-yant.

Milk in gallon containers!! I love these!

(Of course, I do prefer having an actual milkman deliver those lovely glass pints to my doorstep . . . . but if I can't have that, a gallon of milk will have to do.)

It does worry me somewhat (though not much of a milk user outside of tea and cereal) that it seems to take ages before the milk goes off.

I remember bringing a half pint into work with me back home for my tea breaks and I'd be lucky to get four days before it started to smell. The milk we buy here seems to last for weeks

I buy a quart (I think that's what it's called?) every week for my tea. I find it is good for about five days then it starts changing and spoiling the flavour of the tea. Mind you I have a very delicate palate when it comes to tea..

When I buy it, it usually has a "sell by" date about ten days ahead. So it's definitely gone off before the date is reached. (Maybe if it wasn't opened it wouldn't, though..)
