We have recently had to send some legal documents to the UK , and sent them by registered post . Now nearly 2 weeks later they haven`t been delivered. We have got the post office receipt , but the post woman in the local office is notoriously difficult and we don`t think she`ll be very helpful . We are in the Antequera area . Has anybody else had experience of this and give advice on what we should do ?

Did they give you a tracking number? If so, go to the correos web site and track the item.

Otherwise, you may have to resort to contacting Madrid

Hi We sent a cheque for quite a large amount by reg post. Not arrived after 3 weeks. Told by lovely lady in P.O. to check with the tracker site and if it had left Spain--which it had-- the addressee had to go to their local delivery depot with the receipt no. Once it has left Spain it apparently is down to U.K. postal service to sort it.
The cheque NEVER arrived but we had the cheque cancelled. Hope you have better luck

I would never trust legal documents to the post office. I use DHL

The postal service in Catalunya is pretty dismal, ridiculously expensive, top heavy with bureaucracy and with the current cut backs the outlook is not going to improve.....I use electronic mail unless unavoidable and online banking for payments and bills.

I recall whilst running one of my first businesses here in the early 80’s, collecting tokens from wholesale Heineken beer and sending off for dozens of awards.....Beach towels/Shorts/Hats/T-Shirts/Footballs/Gloves/Watches....All Heineken logo’d......The number of times I was told at the ‘Correus’ that nothing ever arrived....

Even now, over 25 yrs later, the evidence of the existence of the awards is still apparent on the beaches and in the local schools every summer....

Well there appears to be no problem the other way. Bought tickets for my OH to come back to UK. Printed off boarding card, sent it ordinary first class post from "back of beyond" in Scotland on Thursday last week, and and it arrived safely in Estepa ( Sevilla) today (Monday) and for less than £1.

We don't have any in our town, not that we know of anyway, and she has no transport .
