Christmas Dinner
Hi,
Can anyone recommend somewhere for Christmas dinner in Abu Dhabi? I know it's a bit too early to be thinking about xmas but is it the same here as in the UK where you have to book months in advance?
My parents are coming over and it would be good to take them somewhere nice and where children are welcome too.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Christmas Dinner
I read somewhere the other day that JW marriott was doing xmas lunch and there were different packages but sounded pretty cheap to me for xmas lunch - give them a ring and find out - lots of entertainment for kids too apparently

annacarna, thanks, Hilton sounds good, any particular restaurant there?
Shiva, I have cooked xmas dinner every year for the last 12 years or so, just thought I needed a break. I always seem to be in the kitchen, harrassed and getting pissed rather than watching the kids enjoying themselves on christmas morning. This is our first 'hot' christmas so thought I would take a break and get pissed while watching the kids enjoying themselves for a change
Does anyone have an opinion on shangri-la or al raha beach resort?

It wasn't that brill when it was still the Brit Club - went to a Christmas lunch there in the 90's - food was good but didn't enjoy the company - Brits abroad.....

Re: Christmas Dinner
It's never actually been the "British Club". That's what the taxi drivers know it as but it's only ever been called the Club.
I love the Shangri La but I think it would be an expensive Xmas day!
