I'm in the West Midlands. Could you please post a list of Australian curriculum schools near Birmingham?

Thanks.

Yes, we pass a french school in Kingsford / Maroubra (eastern suburbs). Never seen a 'british curriculum' school though.

Why would you need to Vash? Plainly the British Curriculum is far superior to anything the Aussies have to offer...

There's an American Scool up near Epping somewhere. Not sure what the curriculum is like though. From the name, I would suspect that it probably wasn't British...

A short time later...

Hmm. Interesting. They follow an American based curriculum with Australian content. The oddest thing though is that they follow the Northern Hemisphere school year, so your kids will be out of phase with the rest of youth society, and have a to go to school all through the summer. Courses are accredited by the NSW board of studies, and eventually lead to the IB.

I think you're the one who needs some schooling!

There was a Japanese school in West London, I recall (for the sizeable expat community there), I wonder if there are similar schools in Australia?

An interesting question indeed. I wonder how we could find out? We really need some kind of tool that allows us to search about things happening in other parts of the world. My how useful that would be...

I'm sure you'd find that Google or a similar search engine would provide such information, if you did suddenly have the urge...

actually imo it's a fair question seeing as where you are posting from
it's not unusual to find schools following the British curriculum in ME countries where there is a sufficient British expat population to support it
unfortunately you're unlikely to find the same here in Aus, hopefully you'll find the schools here can offer a similar level/type of education.. or possibly not judging by some of the threads going at the mo

Thanks a lot.. Yes ,here in the UAE ,I guess everything is slightly different than the rest of the world...We've been here for 5 years now and I think it is now time to go back to the real world..
My only worry is the kids' school though. Here, the british school is absolutely lovely and they follow british curriculum. Is the Australian curriculum very different ? How does it work if we go back to the UK?

i can't answer regarding the Aus curriculum as i've no experience of it
what you might find (and i certainly did) is that the standards of teaching where you are far exceed those in a British public school

in terms of what happens if you go back to the UK i would speak to the school your children are currently attending and ask them to help, i would be surprised if they haven't had to deal with similar before (both with children leaving and joining)

it might help with answer on here to know the ages of your children and where they are at in terms of exams...
