Calling Bayeux, France from U.S.
I feel really naive here, but I'm realizing I don't know how to make
an International call to Bayeux, France from the US. I was provided
this fax #:
02 31 92 09 93
I know that the calling code for France is 33, but I cannot seem to
find the City Code. Or is it already part of the number I was
provided?? I've looked on the Internet, but so far I haven't located
a code for Bayeux.
Thanx for your help.

02 is the code for part of France; it's the equivalent of the city code
you're looking for. Omit the initial 0 when dialing from abroad.

You might look in the front of your telephone book. Mine
(in Los Angeles) has a number of pages with country and city
codes for international calls. Also, you must first dial
"11" (instead of "1") before dialing your international
number. (You may already know that, but I did not, when I
first started making overseas calls - or rather sending
faxes for hotel reservations, etc.)

That was actually where I started, but it only listed the city codes
for the larger cities in Frances--nothing for Bayeux.
Happily, with the help from earlier posts, I was able to successfully
send off my fax (for a hotel reservation).
Thanx
