Default Too many adverts

I've really noticed how much more advertising there is on this website since the last time I posted here. It's really off putting and distracting and must make some pages take for ever to download if you're on dial up. Is there any way of turning them off or blocking the things please?

Use FireFox and install Adblock Plus.

I can tell you how to do it if you use Firefox as your browser.

Firefox allows extensions to be included and the one you want is 'Adblock' Adblock you then need to set filters BUT the best thing to use is 'Filterset G' which is a self updating list of filters. Get filtersetg here

That seems to work really well. I don't intend to post here often enough to justify spending $27 just to not see ads (never like using a credit card over the internet either) besides which adblock will work on other websites too which will be quite useful.
