Where I am it is not good.
Husband is giving 3 days leave to help via Civil Defence.
People are out of their homes . Floods. Property damage. Water contamination. Foreshores decimated and contaminated. Roads out & closed. Slips. Trees down.
Not that bad unless it is you.

Some of the photos have some amazing damage to roads and bridges, similar to what we'd expect from a Cat 4 or 5 in northern Queensland.
Thinking of you both - did your place come out of it ok?

Sorry to hear your area got it bad, I was watching the track map and hoping it would shift at the last minute

Civil Defence is asking for even the non-operational trainees to also be available if possible for the next 5 days solid. That says something about the scale.
