Just remember, the 747's may have bunks for the pilots but Singapore Airlines have beds for the recently departed. Just think who you could have been sharing your seat with then!!

Recently departed! Is this something they regularly cater for! Do you get a discount for being dead? Can you pre book just in case?

Apparently they were the first airline to have a locker of some sort for dead people! Sheesh, BA just puts a blankie over them and says they are sleeping. Yep. Deep Sleep.

Ahh but you might if the dead guy was next to you! Actually, maybe not, twice the room (its not like he would notice if you nudged him over a bit), get in quick enough and you would have two meals to eat, nobody who wants to chat about how much they miss their dog blackie etc.

I wonder if Airlines would pay extra for that service...

Well I'm in Singaopore waiting for my connection to London (instead of Manchester)
Transfers to Brum are sorted for Friday.
The only minor issue is it's a 7:00 train from Euston and the hotel they've booked me is a Heathrow an hour away.

Sounds incredibly stressful. Heathrow is annoying as it is HUGE! Give me the tiny airport that is Leeds - Bradford any day!

I'm back in NZ and feeling a little sleepy.

Funny you mention Leeds Bradford - security nearly made me miss my flight because I went through the whole queue, shoes off, belt off, etc. then they pointed out the clear bags for my deodorant (50 hours' travel so I needed it!!) were back in the hall and made me take all of my stuff to go and pay 50p for a bag then do it all again. Grr.

At Auckland and Heathrow they just handed you a bag if it was needed. Singapore didn't bother with the whole clear bag rubbish at all.

Leeds - Bradford is a hell hole. Always has been and I doubt it will change any time soon

Those clear bags are bizarre they had dispensers full of them for free when I went to Dublin a few weeks back for my mates hen do, somehow we didn't get asked to remove shoes and belts etc.

No other airport got me to remove shoes or anything. Though in Singapore a rather attractive security girlie (how sexist was that? ) checked my belt whilst having a good giggle to her mate about it!!!
