Yes, I love the stuff and have slowly been working through some of the more expensive samples from New World/Moore Wilsons in Welly, and would really really recommend most of the Barrys Bay cheese selection as some of the nicest, tastiest stuff available, if you don't mind pushing the boat ou on some nice cheese now and again!!
Esepcially suggest trying: Sharp (its a nice tasty strong cheddar), Cheshire, Canterbury Red (its a double gloucester) or their Havarti
Mmmmmm.....cheese

Re: Cheese
I find cheese very expensive here......or maybe it's just 'cause I never shopped for it in the UK.

Re: Cheese
The tripple Brie is ok, but not as good as a nice gooey French type! I like their havarti (sp?) but have yet to find a good cheddar. Anyone come across a good cheddar?

Re: Cheese
Thanks for that, I'll look out for it.
There's not much that I miss from the UK these days (except for friends & family of course) but cheese is something that I do miss. Plenty of it available of course, but expensive and in my opinion just not a patch on the range & quality that you can get easily from any UK supermarket.

Oh no my downfall is cheese (& choc), you have now made my mouth water in anticipation of the "research" I will need to do when I get there!!!

Re: Cheese
I agree outside the basic blocks - Edam, Mild, Colby, Tasty (and they're aren't top cheap either) it is comparably expensive compared to the UK and the same wide range from your typical Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco et al.

I suspect you will be dissapointed with the quality of the local chocolate, Whittakers is quite bitter, mind you I bought some bloody expensive Valrhona chocolate the other day (French I think!) and it was just devine

Re: Cheese
It's strange that cheese is expensive there. We get New Zealand cheddar here in Egypt and it's the cheapest kind, even cheaper than the local kinds. It's quite tasteless though
