We Brits seem to tell the Americans they don't speak correctly all the time, and usually it is people with hard to understand accents themselves. We tell them they are pronouncing their cities...

Because it is their country and we are guests. I think we tend to forget that when you go to the UK things are pronounced differently in different cities! A friend of mine said you have to get used...

There are still bargains to be had in NYC too. Old people who leave apartments to their children who just want to sell them quickly as they are so old fashioned can be bought and totally modernized....
