Re: End of tax year australia 2014

In my experience, no they are crap. 20 something 'accountant' using similar, if not identical software to that you can download from the ATO. Do yourself a favour and use someone recommended by a...

Re: Medical - X-ray concern

Its the total amount absorbed which is relevant. Chest X ray will typically be 1% of CT amount, so that's not...

Re: Transport to Perth Airport - WTF?

Public transport to Perth Airport?
Try a taxi for $35 or so. Make sure you know how

Re: Do Members Of the Royal Family Never Learn?

Me too, unfortunately I had to do them myself.
Why does anyone give a toss about William and Kate and the rest of that bunch anyway? 19th century anachronism if ever their was one.

Re: Gorgon Project Update

Largely incorrect. The part he works on may still be in the design phase. The vast majority was designed months/years ago. Expect commissioning of first train starting in late 2014. Other two in...

Re: Anti 457 visa protest

To suggest companies who employ hundreds of thousands of highly taxed employees should contribute to the country is about the stupidest remark I've seen on this forum for a long time. Their taxes,...

Re: Good British Indian style restaurant Perth

Cinnamon Club in Leederville is reasonable. However the chicken and leek pie's in Fibbers across the road are excellent, and the kebabs in Cosmo's are the best in town (relatively speaking). All...

Re: Business Class Airfares to UK / Europe - approx $2700 - $2800 rtn!

Re: US and Australia

If the visa is a 457 (temporary) then you will have to pay school fee's in NSW. They currently range from $4500-$5500 per child per year. Thats going to make a large hole in 130k a year. You would...

Don't you mean Scottish First Division equivelant football? A-leauge standard is a bit of a joke isn't it?

Re: Glasgow Rangers likely to fold

Do you seriously imagine the SNP give a toss about a Union Jack and St Georges flag waving club and supporters such as Rangers? There's very few votes for independence coming from them.

Re: how far does ~$65k get you in Queensland?

There's a big difference between being on a PR visa on X amount and 457 on the same. Job security being the major one.

Yes, most probably.

Re: how far does ~$65k get you in Queensland?
