As an unlicenced sparky in Melbourne. You will struggle to find work. You are also not in the union. Victoria one of the hardest places to find work as a sparky.

In NSW you can work as an unlicensed sparky. In theory you will have licensed sparkies on site supervising. In reality there may only be 1 or 2 licenced sparkies. Sydney is booming at the moment....

I actually done similar. However it wasn't just a 2 weeks cousre. It was ,months of doing the regs and then flying down for 3 days for the test. It has now changed.
