Some good advice here. I would point out that the residency requirement for UK citizenship drops from 5 years to 3 years, if you are married. Location of the marriage shouldn't really affect things....

I don't believe you are missing anything. The consulate won't be able to tell you any more than the form does. Just make sure you send in everything the form requests.

Nope. He just said it would be in 3 or 4 months time and I would get an appt letter beforehand.

Just received my notice for interview on June 28!

Notice date is April 30, but the envelope contains 2 postal stamps, on the 2nd and 7th, and it arrived on the 10th. Looks like my background check...

The Indianapolis office seems to have upgraded since my fingerprints were last taken in Oct '05. Back then it was good old black ink and paper. Now they have fancy...

We asked and were told that they don't split families up and just to use the UK/EU...

My letter states that if I can't make the suggested appointment day, then I can go on any following Wednesday at the same time, as long as it is before 7/17/07.

Does your letter not state that?

This is what we did. VWP is fine. I didn't tell the POE officer I was getting married, but then he never asked. Always tell the truth and documents to back up that you intend to live in the UK...

It has been a while since I did my DCF, so I'm probably out of touch. Does filing with the USCIS office mean applications are now forwarded to the US for processing?
