Whats the harm in trying it out while you can, if you can keep your home and even go for a short term. Nice to have an adventure see some other sights, and if you like it stay and if not go back.

I used white and co 5 years ago from Scotland to NS and had great service from them, they even stored my stuff until it was ready to go, I have no complaints here sorry that you had a bad service.

After looking at that rental website above seems like there is a few nice affordable duplex's in Airdrie. Only 300 more a month than over here for a small home to rent. Hmm interesting.

Well I have no idea of the area and no idea where my man would find work, all I know is when he's qualified in around two years (ish) there seems to be more jobs available in AB than NS. I would work...

Mortgage might not be an immediate option might only be able to rent.. Seems like we wouldn't be better off to be honest once you try and find cost of living.

I have a SQV and here in NS it's recognised but that's for working for children unfortunately I have know many social workers to really struggle getting work in NS (can't commont on other provinces)...

You'd have to apply provincial specific as the education systems and governments are different.. Would be one heck of a department to be in charge of if they looked after all of Canada..
