Re: Are you comfortable singing the Australian National Anthem

God Save the Queen is soooo dreary. At least the Aussie tune is a bit more uplifting. French tune is lovely but so bloodthirsty and inappropriate in this day and age. As I chose to become and Aussie...

Re: What makes you grumpy?

Doing 25 in a 40 zone holds up a lot of traffic and is nearly 50% lower than the speed limit. All drivers need to be aware of hazards and drive accordingly. At 95 in a 110 zone in the inside lane...

Re: What makes you grumpy?

What pisses me off is people who think that the speed limit is a lower limit, or target to be exceeded. Yes, driving slowly in the outside lane is a no-no, but if you are doing 95 in a 110 kph limit...

Re: Pokemon Go

This is a dangerous game- people are already stupidly unaware of their surroundings, and when they get caught up in the game they will do even more daft things like walking into traffic. Children...

Re: Truck Terror

I have just arrived back in Sydney after spending time in Nice, arriving on Bastille day to watch the fireworks. It could so easily have been me and my family under the wheels of the truck. To say we...

Re: So who's voting below the line ?

If you start attacking halal certification, then you need to also look at kosher. Extremist Jews with their repressive laws for women, and their racist viewpoints should not then have a place in...

Re: RIP Muhammad Ali

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,
The fists can't hit what the eye can't see."

That second bit always gets left out.

Re: What's the Temperature & Weather like where you are now?

Much better than it was over the weekend- tree branches ripped off, pool overflowed, horizontal rain driving under the door, devastated garden and all the topsoil washed away. Still, at least I don't...

Re: What's the Temperature & Weather like where you are now?

Ah the joys of an East Coast Low. And of course that is when you discover that Autumn and clogged drainpipes/gutters go together. My poor OH has been up a ladder unclogging things that yesterday's...

Re: Swimming pools

Having spent a fortune replacing all the worn out bits over the 7 years we have been here, we can't afford one!

In the trident's defence, it would have cost more to have the polaris replaced and...

Re: Swimming pools

If you can afford it go for a trident. They are amazing and need no plumbing in. They will go up walls and you can even steer them by remote control to get to spots that might have been missed. (fun...

Re: Change is Good
