A few variables as far as I can tell. Some companies will pay for your license in return for a minimum 'contract', others will 'loan' you the fee and you re-pay it from your wages in small increments...

Not sure what a 'g' license is to be honest....but your UK license means diddly squat over there. About $2500 is average I would say but am prepared to be corrected on that.
