Unfortunately not all the time. Due to the way SmartDNS works, some TVs need to be set up using a VPN set for the UK before they load up the UK apps, then you can remove the VPN and use a Smartdns...

VPNs on a firestick (and other devices) to access the likes of iPlayer have been around for ages, so this is nothing new really.


Try STVPlayer instead (the Scottish regional version of ITV),...

The UK TV satellites (there are currently three, not one, Astra 2e, 2f and 2g - the old ones weer 2a, 2b, 2d and EB1) have two beams.

SkyQ boxes have the card inserted in them. They use your internet network to transmit the signals to the "slave" boxes.

Sky+HD and the SkyHD "multiroom" boxes all require their own separate card....
