Oh I am sor sorry but in my mind I now see swarms of flies everywhere, seriously been here 15 years, Spain is hot we get flies and other insects, as above use netting for the house and fly swatters...

Something to think about, we, 15 years ago did not realise that if we bought a house with land that was classified urban we would be paying a shed load of rates on it, yes I know it is still less...

we don't have lots of money, but still run 2 cars etc. live off our pensions, trust me it can be done and we are.

Maybe check out las Alpujarras, Orgiva, Cadiar etc, Sierra Nevada mountains but only an hour or less to the sea. Costa Tropical :thumbup:

Like Rosemary we live too far away to even think about British foods, only thing visitors bring at Tea Bags, only because I like my tea and cant buy enough, otherwise Spain has just about everything...

Trying to find the 2 b and bs we used before and after but both spotless and had breakfast included. we found them on booking.com meant we landed and had a good nights sleep before moving on

Malaga go to Rome, we flew with Alitalia in April direct into Fiumincino, stayed close to airport as late arriving then hired a car and drove down to Pompeii. Think there are other direct flights...
